About Juniper Babyproofing
Juniper Babyproofing is a full-service childproofing and pool fence company serving the Austin area. Our mission is to help families make their homes safer and more peaceful.
We specialize in aesthetic babyproofing. We install custom baby gates, furniture anchors, cabinet locks, and other safety solutions designed to blend seamlessly into our clients’ homes.
We partner with Pool Guard of Texas who provides high quality, USA manufactured pool fence.
We are a small, local, mom-owned business and members of the International Association for Child Safety (IAFCS). We take pride in using the highest-quality products and safest installation practices.
What You’ll Do
Install babyproofing items in clients’ homes, including baby gates, furniture anchors, cabinet locks, and more.
Install pool fences around client pools. This process includes using a core drill and working outside at all times of year, including in the summer.
Communicate professionally with clients about installation options or challenges that arise on the job.
Prepare and organize inventory for upcoming jobs, including cutting, drilling, painting and finishing work.
Maintain clean and careful work practices inside clients’ homes.
Requirements
Willingness to work outside in winter and summer conditions.
Experience working with tools
Construction, remodeling, plumbing, or other related experience helpful.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Comfortable working in clients’ homes, including around children and common household pets.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout our Austin-area service region (e.g., Lakeway, Georgetown, Bastrop, Kyle).
Ability to perform detailed hands-on work, including drilling, cutting, and painting/finishing.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, including drilling, cutting, measuring, and light finishing work.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and move throughout client homes for extended periods during installations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach in order to install fence in many yard configurations.
Must successfully pass background and reference checks consistent with work in client homes.
What We Offer
25-35 hours per week, with opportunities to grow as our company expands.
Starting pay: $35/hour
